On International Women’s Day and every day, I am reflecting on my wine journey and where it has led me. Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we drink wine with them.
I consider teaching students to appreciate wine as a cultural experience my joy and responsibility as a wine educator. Obtaining my certification as a Specialist of Wine (CSW) through the Society of Wine Educators has been a great accomplishment and humbling experience. The more I learn and prepare myself to be a competent and equipped educator, the more I realize there is a world of knowledge to continually seek. I will use what I’ve learned from classes, books, travel, other industry professionals and most importantly, my students to continue offering my gift of hospitality and my belief that we do not just drink wine, we experience it.
